1. That stupid diet lasted for 36 hours. Carbohydrates are NOT meant to be eliminated. I felt awful, but I did lose half a pound (and about $200). I ditched the diet after searching the web for other people's posts about their experiences, but instead finding a critique from the Tufts school of nutrition.
2. Removed the windows in the dining room and installed french doors. John, the great neighbor and remodeller, did the install. Before that, I took two months to varnish the thing (this is WAY TOO MUCH WORK). I contributed to John's install efforts by following him around asking irritating questions and cleaning things up before he was done with them. And, of course, the deck isn't done yet. Wouldn't want that to happen.
